We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Worker to join our team on a temp-to-perm contract, with the opportunity to move into a permanent role following a successful initial period. This is more than just a job it’s a chance to support children and young people to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

What you’ll do

  • Be a positive role model, supporting children and young people through everyday challenges.
  • Provide day-to-day care within the home, helping to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.
  • Support young people with routines, activities, education, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Follow individual care plans to ensure consistent, person-centred support.
  • Work on a rota basis, including sleep-in shifts, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of young people at all times.

What we’re looking for

  • A caring, patient, and reliable individual who can remain calm under pressure.
  • Experience working with children or young people in residential care (or a similar setting).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred, but not essential.
  • Holds, or is willing to work towards, a Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Workforce.
