The School are looking to appoint the Learning Support Assistant as soon as possible.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide personalised support for students within KS3 and KS4, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to thrive in their education. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the implementation of personalised learning plans for SEN students
  • Offering 1:1 and small group support for children with ASD.
  • Helping create a nurturing, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting classroom activities and adapting resources to meet students' needs
  • Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborating with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to deliver targeted interventions

Requirements:

    • Experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is highly desirable
    • Patience, compassion, and a positive approach to supporting children's learning
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • A genuine passion for working in education and helping children succeed
    • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
    • Minimum 6 months experience within a School environment
