We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Process Engineer to join our expanding precision engineering team in Wigston. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong individual with a background in high-accuracy CNC machining and process optimisation.
You will work with advanced CNC technologies, tight-tolerance components, and high-performance materials used in demanding engineering applications.
What We're Looking For
You must have strong practical experience in both CNC milling and turning, including:
Technical Experience
Proven background in CNC programming and process engineering.
Experience programming and setting CNC machinery, ideally including Hardinge and Citizen Miyano machines.
Strong knowledge of Fanuc control systems.
Ability to work confidently with titanium, maraging steels, and super alloys.
Comfortable producing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
Skilled in optimising cutting strategies, tooling selection, and machining efficiency.
Additional Skills
A hands-on approach to machine setup, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Experience supporting or leading NPI (New Product Introduction) activities.
Ability to train and mentor operators and junior programmers.
Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimise, and validate CNC programs for turning and milling operations.
Support production with setups, tooling strategies, and process improvements.
Work with high-performance materials and ensure dimensional accuracy on tight-tolerance components.
Improve cycle times, tool life, repeatability, and overall machining efficiency.
Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams.
Ensure robust, reliable processes that deliver consistent, high-quality output.
