Are you an experienced CMM Programmer with a strong background in precision engineering and metrology? We're looking for a technically skilled individual to join our team and contribute to the development and inspection of high-quality components in a dynamic manufacturing environment.


GI Pro are working in partnership with an Aerospace company, based in Wigston( Leicester), who are one of the world's largest manufacturer of Airplane Components for the Aerospace sector.

We're looking for a skilled CMM Programmer Machinist to help shape the future of high-performance turbine components used by industry giants like Rolls-Royce and Siemens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and modify CMM programs using MCOSMOS for the inspection of new production components.
  • Create First Article Inspection (FAI) reports using CMM and blue light scanning technologies.
  • Develop blue light scan inspection programs and reports for production parts.
  • Perform fixture and gauge inspections/calibrations using CMM equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with internal customers and engineering teams.
  • Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings, notes, and specifications.
  • Utilize Siemens NX CAD to assist with CMM programming and inspection setups.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, including SOX, Health & Safety, and code of conduct.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise in writing and editing CMM programs using MCOSMOS.
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles and coordinate measuring techniques.
  • Excellent mathematical and IT skills.
  • Technical qualification in engineering (BTEC Level 4 / HNC) or equivalent hands-on experience (e.g. time-served apprenticeship).
  • Proven ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience using MM4 software for CMM programming.
  • Previous experience in structural or precision manufacturing industries is a plus.
