Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder & Fabricator on behalf of a growing engineering business based near Tiverton. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team in a company that truly values its staff and offers long-term career stability.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Overtime available at enhanced rates:
- Weekday OT: Flat rate.
- Saturday: Time and a half.
- Sunday: Double time.
Salary:
- 30,000 - 34,000 per annum (depending on experience).
The Role:
- Fabrication and welding of mild steel components.
- MIG welding with occasional TIG welding.
- Work with both light and heavy steel fabrications.
- Use jigs and follow detailed engineering drawings.
- Carry out sheet metal work involving mild and stainless steel.
- Perform consistent, high-quality work on repetitive tasks.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in MIG welding and steel fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Skilled in working with mild steel and stainless steel.
- Comfortable working with both heavy and light fabrications.
- Experience using fabrication jigs.
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-focused environment.
