We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Science, the ideal candidate should have a specialism in Physics. This vacancy is a unique opportunity due to a colleague relocating; for a newly qualified teacher this would provide an excellent start to your teaching career, whilst for more experienced colleagues there are varied further development opportunities and rewards available, with the potential for pastoral opportunities also.

As KS5 Curriculum & Progress Lead for KS5 A Level Science, the successful candidate will:

  • Take responsibility for the teaching schedule and schemes of learning
  • Model effective teaching and learning to lead development
  • Take responsibility for assessment and monitoring within KS5 A Level Sciences

You'll be joining an experienced group of qualified practitioners who very much work as a team. Science is enjoyed by students across all year groups and is a popular choice at A-level. The department is well resourced, supported by skilled technicians and all teachers have their own large laboratories. The drive for engagement and practical skills in Science has been a significant feature in recent years and can be seen in the keen way students participate - we are striving for scientists of the future being created and nurtured in the department.
