Salary - £24,790 FTE - actual salary £16,604, term time only plus 2 days
The Role
A secondary academy in the East Riding of Yorkshire seeks to appont a Teaching Assistant from as soon as possible. As a Teaching Assistant you will provide specific assistance to children with special educational needs, within the school environment and on school outings and to provide general assistance to teaching staff in respect of these students. You will have a clear understanding of the range of difficulties that students present in mainstream schools and to be able to demonstrate suitable strategies which can be implemented to enable these children to fulfil their potential and partake fully in all aspects of the National Curriculum and school life.
The School
An East Riding based secondary academy, located approximately six miles to the west of Hull. The Academy forms part of a large multi academy trust that benefits hugely from collabrative practice and leadership.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have;
- GCSE grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English (C)
- Experience in working with young people
- A pro-active attitude
- Excellent problem solving skills
- A Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification and epxerience in work with young people is desirable but not essential
This successful candidate may be offered this role on a 'temp to perm' basis, this would meant working on supply via Vision For Education for a term before transitioning to contract with the academy.
