Technology Technician
Location: West Hull Secondary School
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Permanent (via Vision for Education initially, with transition to direct school contract)

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting both the Technology and Science departments, ensuring that practical lessons run smoothly, safely, and effectively. This position would suit someone who is organised, proactive, and confident working in workshop, laboratory, or classroom-based settings.
The RoleWe are looking for a Technology Technician to work across Technology and Science areas within the school. Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable, though not essential if you can demonstrate relevant practical skills and a willingness to learn.
Key responsibilities include:

Preparing materials, equipment, and resources for practical lessons

Supporting teaching staff during practical activities where appropriate

Maintaining tools, machinery, and specialist equipment to a high safety standard

Monitoring and organising stock levels

Ensuring all areas and equipment comply with health and safety requirements

Providing general classroom support where needed
This role offers the opportunity to become a valued member of the school’s support team. The successful candidate will initially work through Vision for Education, with a planned transition onto a direct school contract following a successful period.
