It's due to this growth, that a Group Accountant is sought to join the team located in South Manchester/Cheshire.

The role is an integral part of the finance team and is centred around delivering the Group's internal and external financial reporting obligations in an accurate and timely manner. The key responsibilities will include the preparation of monthly consolidated accounts and cashflow forecasting alongside involvement in cyclical budgeting, forecasting, audit, tax and statutory compliance as well as other group matters.

The role will report directly to the Group Financial Controller, whilst also working closely with the Finance Director.

  • Prepare accounts for head office companies
  • Produce monthly consolidated accounts and financial statements.
  • Prepare spend analyses and cashflow projections
  • Carry out variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Manage the group's shared equity loan book.
  • Produce weekly consolidated cashflow reports for the executive.
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are up to date and consistent across the group.
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams and the wider business.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts for head office companies and group.
  • Prepare subsidiary and consolidated statutory accounts and support with the audit.
  • Preparation of tax packs and liaising with external tax consultants.
  • Continuously contribute to the enhancement of systems, controls and processes.
  • Deputise for the group financial controller as needed

YOU:

  • Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA - first time mover from practice welcome
  • Technically competent with excellent attention to detail
  • An interest in systems and process improvement
  • Team player, able to communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Strong Excel skills
