Our client is seeking Sundries Manager as below:-

  • Manage the smooth running of your department.
  • Recruit the right people and manage the performance and deployment of staff within your department.
  • Identify and manage all issues relating to stock ensuring that it is kept at an appropriate level for the season.
  • Ensure the consistency of product, range and price is in line with those set by the buyers.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales in your department and across the centre.
  • Contribute to the planning of space and seasonal changes within your department.
  • Implement planned changes within your department.
  • Ensure display presentation, pricing and signage are attractive to our customers.
  • Organise and manage stocktakes, stock turn, markdowns and wastage within your department.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of events.
  • Provide excellent customer service, engaging with customers and encouraging feedback.
  • Maintain fixtures, fittings, equipment and materials within your department.
  • Authorise and process invoices efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Act as Duty Manager and key holder for the business.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in a garden centre or seasonal retail
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to work an average of 40 hours per weekincluding alternate weekends.
