Maintenance Operative / Manufacturing Maintenance Operative Salary 拢30-40K DOE 24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays Henstridge / Templecombe & Yeovil area Monday to Friday 37.5 hours Working in a Team 聽 My Client, a rapidly expanding company that manufactures specialist fertilisers for the amenities turf market (football pitches, golf pitches etc.) is looking to recruit a Maintenance Operative / Manufacturing Maintenance Operative. 聽 The successful Maintenance Operative / Manufacturing Maintenance Operative will have a solid understanding and a proven track record in maintenance of buildings, services, and equipment. As the successful Maintenance Operative, you will be integral to sites operations, ensuring that the facilities run smoothly and safely.聽 聽 Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 路Preventative Maintenance: Proactively identify and address maintenance needs in buildings, services, and equipment to prevent breakdowns. 路Maintenance Execution: Undertake maintenance tasks within your capabilities, including working with compressed air systems, production equipment (automated filling lines, mixing tanks, etc.), pipe fitting, racking, basic electrical maintenance, and construction work.聽 路Contractor Engagement: Liaise with external contractors to ensure quality and efficiency in maintenance tasks. 路Improvement Projects: Identify and implement improvements; manage the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of projects. 路Compliance and Safety: Actively participate in the health and safety team, maintaining compliance with safety standards. 路Inventory and Procurement: Assist with maintenance stock inventory, order spare parts for machines and equipment, and source quotes for maintenance supplies. 路Equipment Management: Conduct daily/weekly inspections and maintain and review maintenance check sheets. 聽 The successful person MUST: 路Have previous maintenance experience gained 聽ideally in a manufacturing environment, 路Strong relationship skills and ability to communicate engineering issues with people at all levels. 路Be an excellent decision-maker with a focus on hazard identification and risk management. Ensure safe operations and compliance with internal and external safety, environmental, and legislative requirements. 路Enjoy working on multiple projects at any one time 聽 This role will suit an enthusiastic individual with a strong mechanical engineering background.聽 聽 This role is commutable from Wincanton, Shepton Mallet, Yeovil, Shaftesbury, Frome, Bruton, Mere, Warminster, Westbury, Taunton, Blandford, Ditcheat, Evercreech, Street, Glastonbury. 聽 This role will suit a candidate that may previously have worked in site services, maintenance engineering, engineering coordinator, maintenance manager, mechanical engineer, mechanical supervisor, quarry engineer, agricultural technician, agricultural engineer
