Zest have teamed up with a reputable food manufacturer in the heart of Somerset. We are seeking qualified engineer to join the friendly, professional team. This is a fantastic opportunity to ditch the night shift and join a fast-moving manufacturing environment where no two days are the same!
The Role:
* Ensure reliability and productivity of manufacturing equipment
* Carry out preventative maintenance of food production machinery
* Inspect tools and equipment for safety compliance
* Proactively diagnose faults and anticipate failures to reduce downtime
* Maintain accurate maintenance records
* Order parts and liaise with contractors
* Identify common failure modes and areas for reliability and efficiency improvements
* Implement improvements to maintenance processes and equipment reliability
* Develop new maintenance workflows in line with safety, quality, and hygiene standards
* Manage the installation of a SAP CMMS module
What we are looking for:
* Electrically biased, hands-on maintenance experience
* PLC fault-finding skills, with experience in instruments, inverters, drives, and control systems
* Strong drive for continuous improvement in engineering processes
* Knowledge and/or certification in condition-based monitoring techniques
* Strong understanding of root cause and failure analysis
* Independent, proactive, and ambitious
