Are you an experienced tax professional looking to join a respected and growing private client team? I'm working with a well-regarded accountancy firm seeking a Personal Tax Senior to take ownership of a varied and flexible portfolio of private clients.

?? The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax specialist with proven experience in personal tax compliance. You will manage a portfolio of 150-200 clients, including high-net-worth individuals, directors, partnerships, and trusts, ensuring all compliance work is handled with the highest standard of accuracy and care.

?? Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all personal tax compliance requirements across your portfolio.
  • Prepare accurate and timely self-assessment tax returns, maintaining structured and compliant files.
  • Keep clients informed of key deadlines, obligations, and legislative changes.
  • Plan and manage your own workload, flagging issues to the Tax Manager/Partner when needed.
  • Build strong client relationships through regular and proactive communication.
  • Identify potential tax planning opportunities and support advisory projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and participate in ad hoc assignments.

? What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in personal tax compliance, ideally gained within a practice environment.
  • Comfortable handling a diverse and sometimes complex client base.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus.
  • Formal tax qualifications are not essential - however, support towards ATT qualification is available.
