Our client, a well-established chemical manufacturing organisation, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Process Chemist to join their team.

The ideal candidate will hold degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, along with several years of experience in a pilot plant, production, or technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage technical projects related to the development and operation of novel process pilot plants
  • Oversee and support laboratory and process operations
  • Contribute to strategic planning and ensure adherence to budgetary targets
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety management systems

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the chemicals industry
  • Proven track record in management or technical leadership
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to align with customer needs
  • Experience working in an accredited quality-controlled environment
  • Solid working knowledge of safety management practices
  • Experience supervising or managing laboratory and technical staff
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly

Other Requirements:

Must hold a valid UK driving licence
