We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive new business sales and growth across Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire. Due to an internal promotion this role is now available and is a very warm and successful area. 

What You'll Do:
  • Own the sales budget and deliver year-on-year growth.
  • Build and manage customer relationships involving all stakeholders.
  • Relate to people at all levels within customer organisations.
  • Manage a contact matrix ensuring that all potential points of contact and influence are served appropriately.
  • Build trust across customer organisations.
  • Retain overall responsibility for the profit/loss and growth achieved in each key account.
  • Understand and anticipate customer’s needs and communicate this back to internal stakeholders.
  • Use sales tools like Barbour ABI to bring fresh insight to customer’s business that will help them develop new projects/opportunities.
  • Maintain cross-functional relationships within the company (Customer Service, Commercial, Operations, and Finance) to deliver the best service levels to meet customer needs.
  • Attend and present area summary updates at national and/or regional sales meetings.
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct sales experience within a plumber’s merchant, supplier or manufacturer
  • Demonstrable track record of overachieving sales targets.
  • Service-orientated approach to selling.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to close deals effectively and value engineer opportunities.
  • Fearless, resilient, and trustworthy, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Valid UK driving licence and based within Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, or Hertfordshire.
