Site Engineer - Tier 1 Contractor - Major Civil Engineering Project - North Hampshire

Role overview:

My client is a Tier 1 Construction and Civil Engineering Company.

They have recently been awarded a major highways t project in North Hampshire and are looking to recruit, on a permanent basis, a Site Engineer to their existing project team.

The project is valued at circa 250m and has an estimated completion date of Mid 2027.

The successful candidate will have experience of delivering civil engineering projects and managing a small section of work while supervising one or more Site Engineers.

Your duties include:

  • Setting out roads, earthworks and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
  • Manage all engineering activity providing direction to the direct workforce and subcontractors
  • Quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
  • Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
  • Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
  • Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
  • Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
  • Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
