Freight Forwarding Operator – Global LogisticsLocation: HampshireSalary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

A leading global logistics and supply chain organisation is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Operator to join their Hampshire operations team. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, managing international and domestic shipments across air freight, sea freight, road transport.

You will be responsible for the smooth coordination of import and export operations, including booking shipments, preparing documentation, and providing excellent customer service. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in freight forwarding and shipping operations who is looking to join a reputable and growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and manage shipments from booking through to delivery, covering air, sea, road, and courier freight

  • Prepare and check commercial documentation for import and export consignments

  • Complete customs clearance processes, including basic entries

  • Handle COO, EUR1, ATA Carnets, and letters of credit

  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution

  • Arrange shipment insurance where required

  • Monitor shipments and provide regular updates to clients

  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, and follow up on overdue accounts

  • Support the wider operations team when required

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a freight forwarding operational role

  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs documentation

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
