We are currently working with a full serviced law firm in Hampshire who are looking for a Commercial Property Legal Assistant/ Paralegal to join their office in Winchester. This role will be to provide day to date support for the Fee Earners in a busy high street office.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting the fee earners with all Commercial Property matters including buying and selling freehold and leasehold property, acting in relation to new, or existing leases, either from the perspective of the landlord or tenant, option agreements, overage deeds and deeds of easement.
  • Speaking with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors.
  • Opening files and closing files.
  • Carrying out priority searches.
  • Dealing with Post Completion formalities.
  • Sending draft contract papers on a sale, including obtaining management information packs.
  • Dealing with SDLT returns, Companies House filings and Land Registry applications when required.

Desired skills and experience:

  • At least 2 years + of working experience based in the Commercial/ Residential Property department.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • IT Skills in Excel and Outlook, good working knowledge of case management systems & online systems.
  • Experience with using a case management system.
