Our client's Property Consultancy team provide strategic advice and guide clients through a full spectrum of property consultancy, housing asset management and compliance related activities. Focusing on stock condition surveys and EPC’s. This role will cover the south of England therefore you will need to be willing to travel to project related locations as part of the role, mainly within London and the South of England. Due to continued success and growth, they have an opportunity for a property consultant with desirable stock condition and EPC knowledge. The role would suit an individual from a residential surveying background, or someone with broad knowledge in housing, who has worked in the residential area for several years. Understanding the needs of our clients are essential, as many of our clients are currently under the housing regulator. Understanding who the regulator is and why they operate, helps us deliver better service. The regulator can enforce the housing association to follow their guidance and standards. Knowledge of mobile electronic data capture systems would be beneficial. This is desirable and not essential as training can be offered here. Knowledge of HHSRS is essential. You should understand all 29 hazards and how they drive a properties performance and risk individually. You must recognise every property is different, with different residents living in the homes. You should also have a good understanding of decent homes. You will need to be comfortable managing several surveyors at a time as you run the project. You will also need to be comfortable working on a professional basis with our clients, this could be face to face meetings, or over teams. At times you may need to have challenging conversations with them, you will need to feel comfortable delivering these conversations. * Appointment, on site briefing and co-ordination of surveyors.

* Assisting with the set-up and testing of mobile devices for data collection.

* Managing pilot surveys to test systems and procedures.

* Providing guidance for surveyors within the team.

* Conduct energy assessments in residential properties, training will be offered here if needed.

* Complete stock condition surveys

* Liaising with the data analysts within the team.

* Undertaking physical reinspection’s, accompanied visits and other data on site QA checks.

* Day to day liaison with the survey team.

* Reporting to the team and clients on progress and issues affecting fieldwork.

* Managing a dedicated email inbox for your own projects, this is where HHSRS emails are picked up.

* Support and reporting to the wider team.

* Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to energy efficiency.

* Act as the lead surveyor/ DEA on new projects.

The skills and experience you need to have for this role:

* Appropriate qualifications such as DEA is desirable, including knowledge of construction technology relating to residential accommodation.

* The role combines work on site as well as some office-based activities.

* Knowledge of stock condition surveys is essential.

* Knowledge of HHSRS and decent homes.

* A competent user of Excel.

* Attention to detail and a professional demeanour is important. You will ideally be methodical and have a high level of intellect with excellent oral skills to ensure projects are delivered to a high quality within agreed timelines.

* It is anticipated the role will require initial and on-going training in areas where knowledge may be limited, such as retrofit assessments, you will be fully supported by firm in gaining this expertise and qualification.
