We are seeking an English Lecturer to join our Maths & English Department. This role involves delivering inclusive, responsive, and innovative teaching and learning on a range of English programmes. The ideal candidate will strive to produce outstanding teaching and learning at all times to ensure that all learners succeed in their chosen programmes.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons as part of our curriculum, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning is maintained.
- Contribute to the achievement of the college’s Strategic Plan, including the integration of digital skills, personal and professional development, and leading initiatives like low carbon future developments.
- Work closely with employers and businesses to set the skills agenda and ensure the delivery of high-quality T levels with outstanding business engagement.
- Support the expansion of higher-level provision and actively participate in the recruitment and marketing objectives of the department.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay updated with the latest teaching practices and methodologies.
- Proven experience as an English Lecturer or a similar teaching role within higher education.
- Strong commitment to producing exceptional teaching and learning outcomes.
- Ability to innovate and integrate new teaching methods and technologies into the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and inspiring students.
- Relevant academic qualifications in English or a related field.
