Hampshire County Council are seeking an IT Project Manager on a temporary 6 month contract, with significant skills and experience of managing IT projects in a schools environment.

Candidate Profile:

  • Must have a delivery focus,
  • have strong planning and communication skills with some understanding of schools' technology setup.
  • Sound financial management and an ability to present and report to senior management are also important.
  • Successfully working with third parties to deliver collaborative solutions is a key aspect of the role.
  • You will also be self-motivated.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Successfully plan, manage and deliver schools IT projects, known as the Schools Capital Build programme, within time, quality and budget constraints.
  • Successfully manage project and programme stakeholders developing strong relations with the key personnel using appropriate project governance.
  • Develop and maintain a programme plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Co-ordinate project resources including internal, 3rd party suppliers and customers in the successful delivery of projects.
  • Manage and deliver several projects concurrently.
  • Identify and manage any project and programme risks, and issues providing appropriate controls and escalation.
