Currently representing a well-established House Builder based in Winchester who are seeking a Document Controller to join the team.

The Document Controller will provide vital administrative and document management support to the Technical Director and wider Technical Team. This role is central to ensuring the smooth handling, storage, and retrieval of key project documents, supporting operational efficiency and maintaining compliance with company and industry standards. The individual will also contribute to team coordination, internal communication, and quality assurance processes across the region.

Document Controller Job Overview
  • Reports directly to the Technical Director, supporting the regional Technical Team.
  • Manages the document control system, ensuring accuracy, version control, and accessibility of documents across platforms such as Viewpoint and internal drives.
  • Oversees document uploads, transfers, archiving, and retrieval in line with project timelines and compliance standards.
  • Provides onboarding and system training to new team members on document control procedures.
  • Maintains and updates documentation trackers, including those for appointments, warranties, and insurance certifications.
  • Prepares, formats, and updates reports, presentations, letters, and other technical communications.
  • Coordinates team meetings, diaries, and travel arrangements, and assists with logistical planning for training and events.
Document Controller Job Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using document control systems; familiarity with Viewpoint is a plus.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.
  • Experience in an administrative role supporting a technical, construction, or project-led team.
Document Controller Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid working model - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
