ROLE- Product Design EngineerLOCATION- New Forest, Hampshire TERM- PermanentSALARY- £30,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience) Premier Engineering are currently recruiting for a Product Design Engineer to join a growing company near the New Forest.The role will involve taking projects from initial concept through to manufacture. You will be using SolidWorks and designing plastic products.Ideally we would like you to:
  • Be skilled in using 3D CAD software (ideally SolidWorks)
  • Have experience designing plastic products and injection moulded parts
  • Be able to create models / prototypes
  • Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
  • Have an understanding of design for manufacture
  • Have a design related degree (Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering etc.)
Responsibilities:
  • Develop your ideas from concept to production.
  • Sketch ideas and develop concepts.
  • Create models/prototypes.
  • Do market research, work with clients and listen to their feedback.
  • Use all manufacturing processes.
