As an established events production services company working across the UK and Europe, we need to expand our team resources to sustain our growth and impact into the Exhibition and Experiential Sectors.

About the role:

The Exhibition Production Manager is responsible for delivering high-impact commercial exhibitions and events, ensuring flawless execution from concept through to delivery. This role manages the production process end-to-end - overseeing logistics, technical production, fabrication, and vendor coordination - to create engaging experiences that elevate the brand and achieve client objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Production Management

  • Lead the production planning, scheduling, and execution of exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and brand activations
  • Develop and manage production timelines, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
  • Oversee stand builds, staging, lighting, AV, signage, and other technical/creative elements
  • Work Translate client briefs and creative concepts into actionable production plans

Vendor & Team Coordination

  • Source, brief, and manage external suppliers, contractors, and production partners
  • Negotiate costs and contracts to achieve best value without compromising quality
  • Supervise onsite teams during builds, installations, live event days, and dismantling
  • Ensure clear communication internally

Budget & Resource Management

  • Prepare, monitor, and reconcile production budgets
  • Track expenses and provide accurate financial reporting to stakeholders
  • Optimize resources to balance quality and cost efficiency

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all exhibitions comply with venue regulations, health and safety laws, and insurance requirements
  • Carry out risk assessments and method statements (RAMS); manage on-site safety protocols
  • Guarantee that builds and installations meet structural and technical standards

Client Service & Delivery

  • Provide regular progress updates and manage client expectations
  • Ensure all deliverables meet brand standards and event objectives

About you:

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience managing exhibition or event production, ideally within trade shows, brand activations, or large-scale corporate events
  • Strong technical knowledge of event builds, fabrication, rigging, lighting, and AV systems
  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Strong project management ability - able to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Budget management and financial accountability experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for managing on-site teams
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive under pressure

Education & Experience

  • Proven experience in event management, production, project management
  • 3+ years' experience in exhibition or live event production, ideally in a commercial/events agency or contractor environment
  • Hands-on experience with exhibition stand builds and large-scale corporate events
  • Experience of using beMatrix/Aluvision products
  • Transport management
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Additional information

  • Winchester Office-based with frequent travel to event venues, suppliers, and client sites
  • Extended hours, evenings, and weekends required during build and live event periods
  • As part of a wider team producing live events, you will be expected to assist and contribute to corporate events outside of the exhibitions scope of works
