Planned Maintenance Quantity Surveyor


Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Planned Maintenance Quantity Surveyor (PM QS) is responsible for day to day commercial and contractual queries within the Planned Maintenance team.
This critical role not only ensures that all jobs and orders raised by the Planned Maintenance team are contractually accurate, but addresses any queries raised upon completion of construction. This may involve dissecting forecasts, dealing with compensation events, and taking the lead on joint site measures.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial and contractual support to PM Engineers during the design and ordering of schemes
  • Attend site for joint measures as required, both during works and after completion
  • Close liaison with the Principal Contractor on all matters relating to final accounts
  • Carry out regular data exercises to analysis average costs, item usage, as requested by the Programme Manager

Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying (or other suitable qualification) or demonstrate suitable experience
  • A knowledge and understanding of NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract and the Term Service contract
  • Ability to assess and interpret contract documents and drawings
