Primary SEN Teacher

Are you a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity? Join our vibrant school in Southampton, where your skills can make a significant impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs. This role would consist of covering a range of subjects up to key stage 2 which a complex SEN class. The school is equipped with excellent resources and they take pride in creating a positive and stimulating learning experience for all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
  • Participate in professional development and training as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Primary students with SEMH and ASD.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
