A large School in windsor is looking to recruit an English Teacher to join their team.

The school is looking for a committed and passionate English Teacher who can bring fresh skills and ideas to the department and make a real difference.

As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of young learners and fostering a passion for the English language. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, facilitating classroom discussions, and providing constructive feedback to students. Your goal will be to cultivate critical thinking skills, effective communication, and a deep appreciation for literature and language

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • 2 Proven recent and professional references with experience teaching English at the secondary level

  • Experience working with pupils with ASD, SEMH, and PDA profiles.

  • Strong understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.

  • Experience in managing a range of behavioural approaches, including challenging behaviours.

  • Strong knowledge of English language and literature

  • Strong behavior management skills

  • Ability to deliver and assess engaging English lessons

  • Guide students in developing strong writing skills, including grammar, composition, and creative expression

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to work as part of a team

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays

  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children

  • effectively oversee the classroom, create, and present engaging lessons.

  • Having control over the whole class and maintaining discipline

  • Complete marking and assessments for pupils in KS3 and KS4
