Job Title: Secretary – Command TeamLocation: Cheshire Constabulary Headquarters, WinsfordContract: 6 Months Temporary (Reviewable)Hours: 37 hours per weekRate: £17.80 per hour (Umbrella) | PAYE £13.53About the Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Secretary to join the Command Team at Cheshire Constabulary. Based at the Force Headquarters in Winsford, this is a dynamic position supporting senior members of staff with critical administrative and organisational duties.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple email accounts, diaries, appointments, and correspondence
  • Prepare high-quality documentation including briefings, presentations, agendas, minutes, and action logs
  • Attend and minute meetings as directed by senior staff
  • Provide support to Staff Officers in relation to national portfolios
  • Use the Case Management Tool to respond to requests in line with agreed service levels
  • Maintain accurate and efficient filing and record systems
  • Support continuity of service within the secretarial team
Essential Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a high-level secretarial or PA role
  • Educated to Level 2 or equivalent relevant experience
  • Exceptional keyboard and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organised with an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
Additional Information:
  • Subject to enhanced vetting
  • May be required to attend meetings off-site
  • Expected to uphold the values and standards of the Police Service
