Our client design and manufacture electronic systems for special vehicles, leisure vehicles and boats plus off grid power generation systems. Their unique products are used for power distribution, charging, switching and controlling electrical systems in a wide variety of applications including bus, truck, emergency service, leisure vehicles and marine
They are looking for an SMT Engineer to lead and run the SMT department, this will take an individual who can show experience in both management and being very hands on in order to meet required deadlines for production.
Experience:
- Experience in setting up from new design stencil machines for SMT line.
- Experience setting up and running pick and place machines for SMT production down to 0402 components.
- Experience in setting up and running Re-flow ovens.
- Experience in setting up and running AOI testing machines.
- A good all-round electromechanical skillset for product development.
- Management of component purchase and storage to specifications.
- Management of conventional component and manual soldering procedures to IPC-A-610 standards.
- Liaising with other final assembly teams for product improvements.
- Form part of our ISO and quality team.
Required Experience:
- IPC-A-610 certification
- 2 years running SMT line
