An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join my clients award winning team in their West Kirby offices.

This role is suited to experienced legal secretaries and recent law graduates who have a passion for pursuing a career within Court of Protection and Mental Health Law.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Previous experience working in a firm of solicitors.• Previous legal experience in mental health law is desirable• Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and a desire to work in this area• Strong organisational and communication skills• Tact and resilience• Effective verbal and written communication skills• Competent in the use of Information Technology

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Fast and accurate audio typing, accurate production of correspondence and documents using digital dictation.• Able to produce a high standard of work often to tight deadlines whilst maintain accuracy with excellent attention to detail.• File opening, closure and archiving.• Speaking to clients, experts, hospitals and courts on telephone and taking detailed yet concise messages and assisting when appropriate.• Managing fee earners diaries, updating key dates and appointments.• Accurate completion of time recording.• Maintaining careful checks that all deadlines are met.• Photocopying, scanning, printing, filing and other general admin tasks.• Ability to prioritise and cope with changing demands.
