Accounts and Audit Senior Wisbech £40,000 - £50,000

An independent accountancy practice with a broad range of clients are looking to appoint an Accounts and Audit Senior to join it's friendly team. The role involves a 60:40 audit to accounts split for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in the planning, execution, and finalisation of statutory audits.
  • Supervise audit teams on-site and ensure audits are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare audit files for manager and partner review.
  • Identify audit issues and recommend solutions to clients.
  • Liaise directly with clients to obtain necessary audit evidence and provide updates.
  • Prepare year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in accordance with UK GAAP.
  • Prepare working papers and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare corporate and personal tax computations and liaise with tax specialists where necessary.
  • Assist with management accounts and ad hoc financial reporting as required.

Personal Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist with relevant experience).
  • Minimum 3 years experience within a UK practice environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of audit processes, accounting standards, and tax principles.
  • Experience working with a variety of clients including SMEs across different sectors.
  • Proficient in using accounting and audit software.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and team leadership skills.
