Job Purpose

  • Lead all activity relating to the preparation of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Supervise staff and oversee workflow.
  • Preparation and review of management accounts for a varied portfolio of clients in the specific sector of agriculture and property.
  • Prepare financial statements through close partnerships with clients.
  • Preparation and review of reconciliation of VAT Returns.
  • Preparation and review of reconciliation of control accounts.
  • Preparation and review of tax computations.
  • Providing business set up services.
  • Provide detailed analysis for Partners to review before client meetings.
  • Deliver valued input on the financial goals and performance of the business.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a team of accountancy professionals.
  • Oversee the development of new projects operationally and strategically.
  • Provide a bridge between client account departments and the firm’s internal bookkeeping function.
  • Build trusted and long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Showcasing a thirst for knowledge and the ability to apply new learning to the evolution of services.
  • Support Managers and Partners with ad hoc duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • ACCA, ACA or CA qualified with at least 3 years’ previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Confident and socially outgoing.
  • Adaptable, organised and conscientious.
  • Resilience.
  • Friendly nature and easy to talk to.
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
