Children's Residential Deputy Manager
Location: Wisbech
Salary: 拢34,000 - 拢35,000 per annum plus an additional 拢3,250 - 拢6,500 per year for sleep-ins
Hours: Full-time, working long day shifts with occasional sleep-ins

I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected provider of residential childcare services, seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Home Manager to join a supportive and dynamic team in Wisbech. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker or existing Deputy Manager who is ready to take on a greater leadership role within a nurturing and forward-thinking environment.
As Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the home provides a safe, supportive, and therapeutic setting where young people can thrive. You will be part of a regional network of children's homes, supported by a national organisation that values innovation, personal development, and the empowerment of its staff.
You will receive full support to complete your Level 5 qualification, grow your leadership skills, and develop into a future Registered Manager. The organisation promotes a therapeutic model of care and is dedicated to reducing restraint, focusing instead on empathy, understanding, and positive communication.
Key Responsibilities
路Support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and organisational standards.
路Provide leadership and supervision to staff, promoting a culture of positivity, development, and accountability.
路Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and emotional needs of children and young people are met at all times.
路Manage care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies tailored to individual needs.
路Oversee rotas, staffing, and budgets efficiently.
路Take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.
路Contribute to the continuous development of the home's therapeutic and child-focused approach.

Requirements
路Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a Residential Children's Home, ideally at Senior or Deputy level.
路Level 3 or 4 Diploma/NVQ in Children and Young People.
路Sound knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
路Experience managing rotas, staff teams, and budgets.
路Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
