As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Wisbech. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform both planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operational performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults across a range of equipment, including motors, drives, conveyors, and automated systems.
  • Work with PLC systems, including diagnostics, programming, and fault resolution (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar systems).
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to maintain high performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and help resolve technical issues.
  • Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrading of electrical systems and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime across production lines.

Key Requirements:

  • Recognized electrical engineering qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLC programming (preferably Siemens, Allen Bradley), and automation systems.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with a wide range of electrical components including motors, drives, control panels, and wiring.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across a shift pattern.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices and regulations.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement and team collaboration.
