We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer for the maintenance and repair of production and associated equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.

Location: Wisbech

Hours: 6:00pm to 6:00am 4 On 4 Off

Salary: 42,000 + 10% Shift Allowance Per Annum (Experience Dependent)

Job Duties:

  • Carry out both electrical and mechanical maintenance on production and packaging machinery
  • Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimise downtime
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to machinery breakdowns and faults
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and update maintenance logs
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with food safety and health & safety standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency
  • Liaise with production teams to prioritise and coordinate repair and maintenance work
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades
  • Be available for occasional callouts or overtime as required

What we are looking for:

  • Fully qualified Engineer (preferably time-served)
  • Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of packaging and processing equipment is highly desirable
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and flexible approach
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • A team player who can also work independently
