The Role
As a Service Engineer, you will carry out maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and fitting of bulk blower equipment on HGVs and trailers. This will involve both workshop-based work in Wisbech and field-based service visits at customer sites across the UK.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll use your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, while also delivering excellent service to our customers.
Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out servicing, repairs, and fault-finding on bulk blowing vehicles.

Providing on-site technical support for customers when required.

Assembling and fitting bulk blower equipment to new-build vehicles and trailers.

Completing all work to exact specifications and agreed timescales.

Accurately recording work on job cards and returning them promptly.

Following all company Health & Safety policies.

Acting as a professional representative of Priden Engineering at all times.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a skilled engineer with a strong background in welding and mechanical systems. You should be practical, adaptable, and customer-focused, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Essential skills & experience:

Proficiency in MIG & TIG welding (steel and aluminium, including pipework).

Relevant welding qualifications.

Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Ability to work on your own initiative.

Strong verbal communication skills.

Full, clean UK driving licence.
Desirable skills & qualifications:

Engineering qualification.
-
Previous experience with pneumatic equipment.

Experience in a customer-facing role.
-
HGV Class 1 or 2 licence.
