The Role

As a Service Engineer, you will carry out maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and fitting of bulk blower equipment on HGVs and trailers. This will involve both workshop-based work in Wisbech and field-based service visits at customer sites across the UK.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll use your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, while also delivering excellent service to our customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out servicing, repairs, and fault-finding on bulk blowing vehicles.

  • Providing on-site technical support for customers when required.

  • Assembling and fitting bulk blower equipment to new-build vehicles and trailers.

  • Completing all work to exact specifications and agreed timescales.

  • Accurately recording work on job cards and returning them promptly.

  • Following all company Health & Safety policies.

  • Acting as a professional representative of Priden Engineering at all times.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a skilled engineer with a strong background in welding and mechanical systems. You should be practical, adaptable, and customer-focused, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Essential skills & experience:

  • Proficiency in MIG & TIG welding (steel and aluminium, including pipework).

  • Relevant welding qualifications.

  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Ability to work on your own initiative.

  • Strong verbal communication skills.

  • Full, clean UK driving licence.

Desirable skills & qualifications:

  • Engineering qualification.

  • Previous experience with pneumatic equipment.

  • Experience in a customer-facing role.

  • HGV Class 1 or 2 licence.

  • Attention to detail with pride in high-quality workmanship.
