?? We're Hiring: Bookkeeper | Essex | Full-Time

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking to join a growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice? We're a small but ambitious firm based in Essex, and we're on the lookout for a proactive, detail-oriented individual to become a key part of our friendly and dynamic team.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with a range of clients and get involved in exciting project work as our firm continues to grow and evolve.

?? What You'll Be Doing:

Providing day-to-day bookkeeping services for a portfolio of clients
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Assisting with management accounts preparation
Supporting the implementation and setup of accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) for new and existing clients
Working closely with both clients and our internal team to ensure smooth and accurate financial reporting
Getting involved in ad-hoc project work as part of our wider service offering

?? What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounts assistant role (practice experience preferred but not essential)
Strong working knowledge of cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
Confident with VAT and good understanding of general accounting principles
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
