Production Operative
Location: Witham, Essex
Shift Pattern: 5-shift rotating system (24/7 operation)

We are proud to be working in partnership with a leading organisation in the sustainable waste management sector. They are currently seeking Production Shift Operators for a state-of-the-art facility near Witham, Essex.

As a key member of the operational team, the Production Shift Operator will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion a Safety First culture across all site operations
Coordinate with external systems and define clear operational responsibilities
Maintain environmental compliance and performance standards
Monitor production equipment and report any operational issues
Adhere to standard operating procedures and meet production targets
Manage consumables, additives, and waste levels to support efficient operations
Oversee the safe and compliant disposal of residues
Assist in the execution of scheduled maintenance and compliance tasks
Operate the Digital Control System (DCS) as required

Experience and Qualifications:

GCSEs A-C (or equivalent) in Science, Maths, English, or relevant subjects, or equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant sector (Power, FMCG, Continuous Process Production)
Familiarity with computer-based control systems
Understanding of integrated safe systems of work (desirable)
Interest in mechanical or electrical systems (advantageous)
Strong safety and environmental awareness
Access to personal transport is essential due to limited public transport options
