Overview

We are seeking a proactive and adaptable HR Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on, people-facing role, providing daily HR support across a busy and varied working environment. With a strong focus on employee engagement and support, this role requires a visible presence across all operational teams.

Role Summary

You will be responsible for providing day-to-day HR assistance across a workforce of approximately 130 employees. This role will involve regular face-to-face contact with staff and managers, supporting a full range of HR activities including employee relations, disciplinary processes, performance management, and documentation. Your ability to build rapport, remain organised, and handle confidential matters professionally is key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries.

  • Support employee engagement initiatives and communications.

  • Attend and minute formal meetings (e.g., disciplinary, grievance, performance reviews).

  • Assist in managing employee relations cases with professionalism and discretion.

  • Support HR administrative tasks and ensure documentation is up to date.

  • Be actively present on-site daily, supporting staff at all levels.

  • Flexibility to work across different departments and adapt to changing needs.

Essential Experience & Skills
  • CIPD Level 3 or above (completed or working towards).

  • Demonstrable experience in employee relations, disciplinaries, and minute taking.

  • Comfortable working in face-to-face operational environments.

  • Experience working across various industries and adapting to different workplace cultures.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisation and time management.

  • Flexibility to start early
