Are you ready to build your PR career with a top-tier UK housebuilder? We're looking for a talented and ambitious PR & Communications Coordinator (or a high-performing Assistant ready for their next step) to join the communications team at one of the UK's most respected names in housebuilding - an agile, award-winning company known for delivering high-quality homes and bold, purpose-driven developments.

You'll be part of a collaborative team that shapes the public narrative around our brand - from proactive media engagement to internal storytelling, award-winning submissions, and thought leadership. If you want to work in a place where your ideas are heard, your writing makes an impact, and your ambition is matched by opportunity, this is the role for you.

Who We're Looking For

You'll bring 1-2 years' experience in a communications or PR environment, either in-house or agency side. You'll be a strong writer, fast learner and confident communicator - someone who's ready to hit the ground running in a high-profile, high-quality business.

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have a passion for PR and communications, with strong editorial instincts
  • Are proactive, creative, and always looking for ways to improve and innovate
  • Can work calmly under pressure and balance multiple priorities
  • Write clearly, accurately and with purpose - from press releases to speeches and blogs
  • Understand the value of great storytelling and media relations in a competitive industry
  • Are looking for a long-term career in housebuilding, property, or the built environment

What You'll Do

You'll play a key role in supporting and delivering our external communications strategy - building media relationships, supporting press activity, creating compelling content and collaborating across business functions. No two days will be the same.

PR & Media:

  • Manage and coordinate the press office, working with internal stakeholders and PR agencies
  • Draft and edit press releases, media responses, and thought leadership content
  • Support media events, journalist visits, and campaign planning
  • Track and report on media coverage

Content & External Communications:

  • Write blogs, LinkedIn articles, and website copy to spotlight our work and our people
  • Assist with corporate communications including annual reviews, gender pay gap reports, brochures, and branded materials
  • Support award entries, including research, writing, and design (InDesign experience a plus)

Internal Communications:

  • Work with our internal comms team on content for the intranet, staff magazine, newsletters, and internal events
  • Help ensure colleagues are informed, inspired and connected to our brand values

Collaboration:

  • Liaise with teams across sales, marketing, HR, social value, and more
  • Be a brand guardian, ensuring consistency and quality across all channels
  • Contribute to broader marketing and comms campaigns as required

What You'll Need

  • 1-2 years of experience in PR, media, or communications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
  • Ideally some exposure to Canva and/or InDesign (training available)
  • Experience working with third-party platforms (e.g. media monitoring, press tools)
  • A curious mindset and a desire to grow within the industry
