We are hiring a Junior Buyer to join our client's experienced international Supply Chain and Procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a purchasing, supply chain or buying assistant to build hands-on experience in international sourcing, supplier management, and buying.
What you'll do:- As Junior Buyer you will assist in sourcing and purchasing from global and UK-based suppliers.
- Liaise with suppliers to support New Product Development (NPD) and source bespoke categories.
- Help procure sustainable and cost-effective packaging solutions.
- Support supplier communication, order tracking, and delivery scheduling.
- Create and manage purchase orders using ERP systems.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate forecasts with the Planning team.
- Assist with supplier negotiations on pricing, terms, and lead times.
- Work with quality and technical teams to manage documentation and ensure compliance with health and safety.
- Stay informed on market trends, seasonal availability, and commodity pricing.
- Contribute to procurement reporting and audit processes.
- A degree in Supply Chain, Business, Food Science, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
- 0–3 years of relevant experience – e.g., in buying, logistics, fmcg or planning roles
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel especially); ERP knowledge a bonus
