About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our clients established team. In this critical role, you'll prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects, manage tender enquiries, and work closely with internal departments to ensure competitive pricing and project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates
  • Manage multiple tender enquiries simultaneously
  • Review construction and design documents to re-issue quotes as required
  • Incorporate value-engineered solutions to optimise pricing
  • Liaise with buying department to secure up-to-date material costs and lead times
  • Attend pre-project and tender meetings as required
  • Maintain personal quote logs and workload priorities
  • Identify and evaluate technical issues, seeking input from technical teams
  • Produce comprehensive handover documentation upon project award
  • Collaborate with project management and other internal departments
  • Provide technical support in response to project-specific queries
  • Assist with team supervision during the absence of senior staff when required
  • Complete all required company training modules and stay current with certification requirements
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a similar estimating role
  • Strong technical understanding of industry-specific requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication skills for effective internal and external liaising
  • Proficient in industry-specific estimating software
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
