The Role

An East Riding of Yorkshire Secondary School seeks to appoint a passionate and skilled Teacher of History from September 2025. The successful History Teacher will be repsonsible for teaching History to KS3 and GCSE, there may also may the potential of some A-level teaching.

Based in a coastal area of the The East Riding of Yorkshire smaller than average local authority maintained secondary school, situated in a pleasant rural coastal area. Our Ofsted inspection in November 2021 maintained our ‘Good’ grading across all areas and we pride ourselves on being a school at the heart of our community.

Requirements

The desired History Teacher will have;

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience in teaching History to KS3 and GCSE
• Ability to plan and deliver high quality lessons

This successful candidate may be offered this role on a 'temp to perm' basis, this would meant working on supply via Vision For Education for a term before transitioning to contract with the school.
