Great opportunity here to join an industry leading company in a role which offers great autonomy and the potential to progress with the company. You will be using Solidworks and working on a variety of projects, from cradle to grave.

The Role:

  • Reporting to the Managing Director
  • Design of bespoke hydraulic cylinders and bespoke hydraulic power units, using Solidworks.
  • You will understand the calculations involved in specifying the correct design for a production job.
  • You will be required to regularly liaise with customers regarding the design of new/existing product.
  • Working with the M.D, you will be committed to ensuring that all specifications are met.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that all drawings are issued/maintained adhering to drawing office guidelines set by the M.D and the company. Integral in this will be the setting up of a process to ensure consideration is given to tooling, fittings, protective equipment, testing etc (To include but not limited to.)
  • You will project manage prototypes and new designs ensuring that the correct drawings are issued, and all procedures & processes are fully implemented.
  • Dealing with queries relating to drawings/specifications.

The Candidate:

  • Degree in engineering discipline.
  • Experienced with Solidworks.
  • Previous experience within hydraulic design.
  • Desirable - previous experience working within the Steel industry.
