Electronics Technician

Witney, Oxfordshire

£35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum

Our client are a leader in their industry - they design, develop and manufacture high-precision products! They are recruiting for an enthusiastic Electronics Technician, who will work closely with the engineering design team.

Electronics Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build, test and validate prototypes or existing designs, work will include
  • Soldering electronic components to PCBs
  • Performing electro/mechanical assembly including wiring and crimping
  • Coil winding
  • Conducting validation testing of completed units and sub-assembles
  • Fault finding to determine cause of failure
  • Building or repairing products to Sales orders or Repair Orders
  • Creation of technical documentation for new and existing products
  • Be a key part of the R&D project team throughout the entire product design process from initial experimentation and research through to release to Production
  • Running Design Changes (DCNs)
  • Liaison with suppliers

Electronics Technician Skills and Experience:

  • High degree of manual dexterity
  • Ability to solder through-hole and surface mount components onto PCBs
  • Understand electronic circuit diagrams and mechanical assembly drawings
  • Ability to fault find down to component level using scopes, multimeters, etc
  • High level of I.T competence including MS Office software and Adobe Acrobat
  • A technical qualification is desirable
  • Creation/modification of technical documentation

Electronics Technician Working Hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
