History Teacher – Ofsted 'Good' School

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated History Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive Humanities Department at a school with an Ofsted 'Good' rating. As a History Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire students from KS3 to KS5, helping them understand the complexities of the past and how it shapes the present. You will play a vital role in developing students' critical thinking, analytical skills, and love for historical enquiry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons to students from KS3 to KS5, promoting curiosity and deeper understanding.
• Develop and implement schemes of work that align with the national curriculum and support student achievement.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear, constructive feedback to drive academic development.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment where all learners feel supported and motivated.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Humanities Department, including curriculum planning and enrichment opportunities.
• Promote historical awareness and engagement through trips, guest speakers, or themed events that bring history to life.

About You:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
• A degree in History or a related subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent).
• Experience teaching History at KS3 to KS5, with a passion for subject knowledge and student development.
• Excellent communication, planning, and classroom management skills.
• A strong commitment to inclusivity, academic excellence, and holistic education.
