Maintenance Engineer

Location: Wiveliscombe (near Wellington, Taunton, Tiverton) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (regular overtime available) Transport: Own transport required due to rural location Salary: £35,(Apply online only) – £40,(Apply online only) + Overtime + Benefits

We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our well-established manufacturing team in the Southwest. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on problem-solving, enjoys working with machinery and takes pride in keeping a busy workshop running at peak performance.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery

• Diagnose faults, replace parts and ensure equipment runs efficiently

• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

• Support installations, refurbishments and upgrades of machinery and control panels

• Maintain accurate records and collaborate with production teams to improve reliability

• Proven experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance (industrial, workshop, or manufacturing)

• Confident working from diagrams, manuals, and technical instructions

• Strong fault-finding skills and preventative maintenance knowledge

• Positive, proactive attitude with a strong team focus

• A friendly, long-standing team that takes pride in their work

• Monday to Friday only – no shifts, evenings or weekends
