Description

Lead and mentor a team of two Assistant Management Accountants, providing guidance and support

Manage and ensure the timely and accurate completion of the month-end close for the business and Group consolidation process.

Prepare and deliver monthly consolidated management accounts and KPI reports, highlighting financial performance and key metrics.

Conduct detailed variance analysis to explain key drivers behind sales, gross margin, and operating profit fluctuations.

Perform in-depth gross margin analysis across the Group, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Monitor and report financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing early warnings of potential variances.

Oversee the complete monthly balance sheet close for the business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Review and approve all balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring integrity of balances and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Support the Head of Finance in preparing year-end statutory accounts, tax submissions, and managing external audits.

Assist with the preparation of the annual budget, providing analytical input and financial insights.

Lead or support ad hoc finance projects, such as finance system implementations and improvements to business processes and controls.

Qualified - ACA / ACCA / CIMA
