Senior Accountant, Woking, £50-54k + Benefits
This is a permanent full-time office-based role, the client is on the outskirts of Woking with parking, hours of work are 8.30am - 4.30pm
Working for this growing multinational business and reporting to the European Finance Manager, this is a varied role that will include elements of monthly accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis and day to day accounting.
About the role:
Responsible for monthly and year end management accounting closure to strict deadlines.
Supporting Management with financial planning and analysis.
Preparation and inputting of journal entries.
Account analysis and reconciliations.
Responsible for preparing and filing multiple jurisdiction tax and VAT returns in a timely manner.
Management of internal controls over key accounting functions, e.g. inventory, AR, AP and payroll.
Plays a pivotal role in the preparation of the annual budget.
Maintains fixed asset records and manages company Capex reporting.
Responsible for operating lease reporting; including various escalating leases.
Credit control of UK and European customers for allocated entities in line with Customer TOB.
Assists the Finance Manager with the external Semi-Annual Review and Annual Financial Statement Audits; including preparation of various footnote disclosures in support of the MD’s reporting.
Assists in any sales tax and/or property tax audits.
General daily accounting duties as required, including:
Bank reconciliations (multi bank accounts and currencies).
Purchase invoice processing and query resolution.
Sales invoice checks and production of daily sales report to the overseas HQ.
Ensuring all debtor, cash and bought ledger payments are promptly recorded.
General ledger and balance sheet reconciliation.
Setting up of payments on banking systems.
About you:
- Part or fully Qualified CIMA or ACCA.
- Strong IT skills including Excel and experience utilising and extracting data from an ERP system.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise staff at all levels within the business.
- Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as part of a small team.
- Organised and able to plan, set priorities, and complete multiple assignments in a timely manner.
