Portfolio Marketing Manager – 12 months FTC

We have an excellent opportunity to join our Portfolio team as a Marketing Manager. Innovation is the biggest growth lever in the Nomad Foods Strategic Plan in the next 3yrs. You will be part of Nomad Foods’ Global Portfolio Team, which are responsible for the Segment portfolio strategy, building a commercially viable Innovation & Renovation Pipeline, and leading the Flywheel Strategy process ensuring markets have clear Blueprints with how to win plans across the Must Win Battles (MWBs) and Growth Platforms. This role reports into the Head of Segment Expansion and will focus on our Chicken business.
About the role:
Part of the Nomad Foods’ Group Portfolio Team which are responsible for the Win with our Food Quadrant of the Flywheel. The team work as part of a central cross functional team in close collaboration with marketing colleagues organised by cluster covering 22 European locations. Some of the key role accountabilities are:
- Innovation & Renovation: Lead existing and innovation and renovation work streams, working in a cross functional team. Understand the category vision and how its key drivers are the basis for segment growth and brand growth. Be able to develop compelling innovation concepts, that are co-created with consumers to uncover true insights and identify clear benefits and reasons to believe, taking advantage also of disruptive techniques and stimulus to trigger unexpected ideas using influence from outside the traditional references.
- Building Knowledge to Win: Be able to assess performance as part of the Flywheel process to inform Segment strategy. Be able to lead strategy workshops support markets/ clusters to consult on analysis, blueprints.
- Commercial Acumen: Has a clear understanding of PPA/ Price/ Promo and understand how the levers can work to support both innovation and renovation. Working collaboratively with Insights, Global Sales, RDQ, PMO, Supply Chain and Finance Colleagues to deliver strategic P&L that meets or exceeds KPIs for the NPDs and great quality marketing execution.
About you:
We need someone who has a “Make things happen” mind-set and can effectively work in cross functional, cross market teams. Passionate about food and the consumer with a commitment to solve and stay relevant to macro needs and desired. Please do apply if you have the below experienced:
- 6 years working experience Marketing / Commercial in FMCG companies, ideally food
- Proven track record of achievement in an FMCG environment
- Successfully led product innovation development, having ideally worked in a category led organisation
- Able to demonstrate strong people influence skills and collaboration to work in cross functional Teams
- Excellent project management skills
- Ideally work across different countries and with diverse nationalities
